Tips & Tricks for Guys on SB
We posted some tips for the ladies so it's only fair if we post a few things for the guys as well! Men of Spring Break 2010, be wise! Read on my friends and learn a few tips and tricks to keep in mind while in Panama City Beach for your Spring Break.
Don't fight, your face is important - Some guys love to fight; they look forward to going out to pick fights. DON'T BE THAT GUY. Fighting leads to a permanent record (jobs don't like this), your face getting messed up (girls don't like this), and wasting your night with a bunch of dudes (I'm guessing you don't like this). Try to avoid fights at all costs, remember while all those guys are fighting, there are a lot of girls somewhere alone. Enjoy Spring Break, you're only here for a week, don't waste it fighting!
Manage your reputation: Don't burn bridges on Spring Break- No matter what happens, always a gentleman (at the very least around your hotel, you will see these girls ALL week) because you never know who is watching. If you want to play the game, your biggest concern is your reputation. Some will say "he's a nice guy" some will say "he's such a jerk". This is very important as you meet more girls on Spring Break... If all goes well you will reach a during the week where you will hear "I've heard about you", and as long as she stays around, that means your rep is good. If you burn your bridges and treat girls badly, it will get around and catch up to you - fast. There will be tons of breakers on Panama City Beach, but at the rate girls talk... don't risk messing it up!
Travel In Packs - Stay with your group, separating from the pack makes you more of a target for dangerous situations. Use the same safety precautions in Panama City Beach that you would at home: consider avoiding walking alone on deserted streets after dark, keep your travel cash stashed and stay alert.
Don't Lose Track of Luggage on Planes, Trains, and Automobiles - you're unlikely to get too far from your bags during your travels to Panama City Beach, but losing 'em to someone who really wants 'em during transportation is easier than you might think. It goes without saying that you will never agree to carry anything in your baggage if a stranger or even a friendly acquaintance asks you to do so; check your bags carefully before boarding a flight to ensure that their contents are yours and yours alone. You're guilty until proven innocent if your baggage contains anything it shouldn't - so don't let anyone destroy your Spring Break. And as you've heard a million times, never keep watch over a stranger's bag!
You've gone away to college... You know how to stay safe - just don't throw all those practices out the window when you go on Spring Break! People you encounter on your journey will be as likely to be friendly and honest as the people you know at home - you're all here to have a good time. Don't be afraid to get to know the locals of Panama City Beach and explore the town - just travel with the same safety sense you show in your own backyard.
